This programme is aimed to support learners wishing to progress from Level 1 and work or volunteer in a Mentoring role, in a range of areas from schools, colleges, to drug or alcohol rehabilitation services, and domestic abuse support. The programme has therefore been devised as a progression route from Level 1 for more in-depth learning. The course will culminate in an observed mentor meeting to demonstrate skills learned on the course and ability to conduct a meeting in a supportive manner.
Mentoring is not usually allocated as a specific role rather it is within certain job roles such as team leading, management, recovery, support work in schools and colleges to name a few. These roles will vary in income and area.
By doing a mentoring qualification you will be better placed to access these types of roles and progress your career via this route.
If you were to work in a school as a ‘school learning mentor’ you can earn on average £26,000 per annum.
This would require additional qualifications also. Please do chat with our tutor to discuss the progress opportunities for this course.
