Course Requirements

In order to attend the course, learners should be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English at Entry Level 3 and above.  Learners will also need a basic level of IT skills to be able to access the course and follow online instructions. If training or support is needed, please enquire about our free ICT courses.

Learners will need access to a phone, computer, laptop or tablet device with access to the internet in order to upload feedback and photos of completed challenges.

Overview of Course

The course with the FUN factor! Are you up for it? 
We’re encouraging as many families as possible to get outside and carry out amazingly fun challenges together throughout the month of August. The challenges include: designing pavement chalk games, creating a DIY water play kit and playing nature bingo hunt. You’ll also gain access to ideas for activities that will keep your family feeling positive, creative and enthused during the long Summer period off school. 

We will send you an exciting kit through the post, full of goodies, to enable you to carry out the challenges absolutely free of charge. After completing all 4 challenges you will receive a certificate and a little prize through the post. You will also be automatically entered into our competition prize draw to win an Amazon voucher. So, what have you got to lose? Enrol now! 
(We advise enrolling as soon as possible due to limited kits being available.) 

This is a flexible course so you'll take part in your own time, as and when you choose. You simply upload a picture or a description of each activity to evidence you’ve smashed the challenge! The teacher will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to see how you're getting on!

What you will learn

All challenges cover elements of the EYFS, so your child will be learning without even realising it. Other invaluable skills that you and your child will develop are communication, problem solving, resilience, and confidence.

Learners will receive feedback in order to further develop their knowledge

The online application and enrolment process is really simple, once you have clicked the “APPLY" or "ENROL” button you will be redirected to the portal where you either log in or create an account (if you haven’t done so previously). We will then ask you to give us a couple of bits of information like address, mobile phone number ect and that’s it.

Once your applications has been made the next step will be for you to book yourself onto one of our interview evenings, depending on availability you might be able to do this straight away but otherwise we will get in contact to arrange when you come in for an interview.

At any point you can log back into the portal throughout the year, update information like your predicted GCSE grades, update contact and consent information and keep a live track of your application.
