The Level 3 Health and Social Care course is delivered through classroom study, practical workshops, and extended work placements. In college, you’ll study subjects such as anatomy and physiology, safeguarding, psychology, and health policy through lessons, case studies, and group projects. Alongside this, you’ll complete substantial placements in health and social care settings, applying theory to practice and developing professional skills. This combination of academic study and workplace experience prepares you for university or skilled employment in health and social care.
5 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4, which must include a Grade 3 and 4 in English Language and Maths, in either combination.
Assessment for Level 3 Health and Social Care combines internal and external methods. Internal assessments often include applied assignments, projects, and case studies, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge in practical contexts. External assessments may involve exams or externally set tasks, ensuring consistency and nationally recognised standards.
