Course Overview Description

Build a solid foundation for a rewarding career in construction with our Construction Multiskills course. This hands-on program is designed to introduce you to essential skills across a variety of trade areas. Perfect for you if you're startingstarting your journey.

What Will I Learn

During the course, you’ll get the chance to try your hand at a variety of trades, including:
• Carpentry: Learn the fundamentals of working with wood
• Brickwork: Get to grips with the essentials of laying bricks, building walls and understanding the basics of construction techniques.
• Painting and Decorating: Discover how to prepare surfaces, apply paint and add decorative touches to bring spaces to life.

How Is The Course Delivered

Most of the learning will take place in the practical workshop environment developing your practical skills. You will produce a short portfolio of work in order to achieve your qualification.

You will be given regular feedback on your performance from our highly skilled and experienced staff.

Additional Information

You will require safety boots that can be purchased from the college.

The online application and enrolment process is really simple, once you have clicked the “APPLY" or "ENROL” button you will be redirected to the portal where you either log in or create an account (if you haven’t done so previously). We will then ask you to give us a couple of bits of information like address, mobile phone number ect and that’s it.

Once your applications has been made the next step will be for you to book yourself onto one of our interview evenings, depending on availability you might be able to do this straight away but otherwise we will get in contact to arrange when you come in for an interview.

At any point you can log back into the portal throughout the year, update information like your predicted GCSE grades, update contact and consent information and keep a live track of your application.
