Love the idea of working with children and helping them grow, learn and thrive? The Level 2 Education & Early Years course is your first step into a rewarding career where every day makes a difference.
This course gives you the essential knowledge and hands-on experience to understand how children develop, learn, and explore the world. You’ll study child development milestones from birth through to adolescence, and discover how play is one of the most powerful ways children learn. You’ll also get to grips with vital areas like safeguarding and child protection, health and safety, and communication—building the confidence to create safe, supportive, and inspiring environments.
It’s not just about theory. You’ll learn how to plan exciting play-based activities, support literacy and language skills, and observe and assess children’s progress. You’ll also develop your teamwork and partnership skills, learning how to work with colleagues, families, and other professionals to give children the best possible start in life.
The real highlight is your work placement. You’ll spend time in nurseries or other early years settings, working directly with children aged 0–5. This is your chance to put everything you’ve learned into practice, gain confidence, and show what you can do in a real professional environment.
By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to step into employment in childcare or progress to further study, such as Level 3 Early Years qualifications.
If you’re passionate about making a difference for children, this course will set you on the path to a rewarding future.
