This course gives you the chance to explore what it really means to work in law, justice, and protective services. You’ll study topics like crime and its effects, aspects of law, citizenship, public service skills, teamwork, and health and fitness for entry. Alongside classroom learning, you’ll get stuck into practical activities such as adventurous training, expedition planning, and team-building challenges, building your resilience and confidence.

You’ll also meet guest speakers from the police, military, and other uniformed services, and may visit locations such as police stations or outdoor training centres.

This isn’t just about theory—you’ll develop vital skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing you for the next step. Whether that’s progressing to a Level 3 course or starting your journey towards employment in uniformed services, you’ll be ready.

4 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 3, or a Level 1 BTEC which must include a Grade 3 in English Language and Maths.
