Level 3 Business is delivered through classroom lessons, workshops, and practical projects. In college, you’ll study key areas such as marketing, finance, customer service, and business operations through case studies, group work, and presentations. Learning is interactive and applied, with opportunities to develop professional skills by working on live briefs and producing business documents. Industry placements give you real-world experience. This balance of theory and practice prepares you for university or employment in business.
5 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4, which must include a Grade 3 and 4 in English Language and Maths, in either combination.
Assessment for Level 3 Business combines internally assessed coursework with externally set exams or synoptic assessments. Coursework includes written reports analysing business challenges, presentations, and the production of business documents such as financial reports or marketing materials. You may also complete portfolio-based assessments to gather evidence of skills across units. External exams can be written, computer-based, or synoptic assessments requiring knowledge from multiple areas. Assessments focus on business operations, finance, marketing, communication, leadership, and teamwork, ensuring you can apply business principles in real contexts.
