Are you ready to start an inspiring career supporting others? Our T Level in Adult Nursing offers the perfect route into the healthcare sector.

You’ll learn clinical knowledge and patient care techniques through a balance of classroom study and practical work placements.

Develop your communication, compassion, and clinical skills as you prepare for roles within hospitals, care homes, and community settings.

Whether you’re looking to move directly into the workforce or onto university-level study, this course opens doors to a range of healthcare careers.
Do you see yourself working in hospitals, care homes, or the community, making a real difference to people’s lives every day? The T Level in Health with a specialism in Adult Nursing is the perfect place to start. Over two years, you’ll develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills you need to take your first steps into an exciting and rewarding healthcare career.

From the start, the Adult Nursing pathway puts you at the heart of patient care. You’ll learn how to support adults in a variety of settings, practicing real skills like taking vital signs, helping with mobility, maintaining hygiene, and delivering person-centred care. You’ll also build the communication and teamwork skills that make a brilliant nurse—compassion, empathy, and confidence in working with others.

Alongside this, the core modules give you the foundations of healthcare, covering anatomy and physiology, infection control, safeguarding, and wellbeing. You’ll explore how the health sector works, and how professionals come together to give patients the best care possible.

One of the highlights of this T Level is the industry placement—around 315 hours (that’s about 45 days) in real healthcare environments. It’s your chance to put your skills into practice, learn from professionals, and gain the experience that universities and employers are looking for.

Equivalent to three A Levels, this T Level prepares you for university courses like nursing, midwifery or paramedicine, higher-level apprenticeships, or straight into healthcare roles.

If you’re ready to care, support, and inspire others, this course gives you the perfect start to a future in nursing.
The Health T Level – Adult Nursing is delivered through classroom study, skills workshops, and industry placements. You’ll cover topics like anatomy, infection control, and person-centred care in lessons, while developing clinical skills in practical sessions. A minimum 315-hour placement in settings such as hospitals or care homes lets you work alongside professionals and gain real experience of adult nursing.
5 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4, which must include English Language and Maths at Grade 4.
Your learning will be assessed through two key components. First, the Core component, which includes an examination and an employer-set project (ESP). Together, these will determine your overall Core grade. Second, the Occupational Specialism component, where you'll complete synoptic assignments designed to demonstrate your skills and understanding, earning a distinction, merit, or pass. Additionally, you'll complete an industry placement to develop practical workplace skills.
This course prepares you for a rewarding career in adult nursing and healthcare. After completing your T Level, you’ll be ready to step into roles such as Healthcare Support Worker, Nursing Assistant, or other positions within the adult care sector. It also provides an excellent foundation for further study, including progressing towards a degree in Adult Nursing or related healthcare qualifications. If you’re passionate about providing care and making a real difference in patients' lives, this course is the perfect starting point for your journey in healthcare.
