You will explore a wide range of subjects, including programming, web development, cyber security, and business giving you a strong foundation for future study.
Through hands-on practical sessions, you will have the opportunity to put theory into practice and develop valuable, real-world skills alongside your academic learning. Assessments are designed to support your progress and help you demonstrate both your understanding and practical abilities in different ways.
You will also develop essential study skills, including academic writing, accurate referencing, understanding plagiarism, and the ethical use of AI. By the end of the course, you will be well prepared, supported, and confident in your ability to succeed at university and beyond.
The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Computing is a Level 3 qualification licensed by QAA (Quality Assurance Agency) which is intended for learners (usually 19+) who do not have the sufficient qualifications or UCAS points to enter university learning directly.
This course is designed so that learners can develop their knowledge and academic skills needed to progress on university degree courses, either with us at East Lancashire UC or at another higher education institution.
