Course Information

Course Information
Ozobots are programmable mini robots that move and turn to codes set out by children. Parents/Carers can attend the session with children learn how to interact with the Ozobots and learn the basics of coding and technology. The course encourages children to learn skills such as creativity and problem solving as well as spending time in a supported environment.

The course enables learners to build confidence with technical equipment and begin a coding journey to encourage future engineers!
This is a practical and interactive course that is meant to be challenging and fun as well as developing important skills.

It is designed to ignite a curiosity and confidence in children that will lead them to explore their STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering & Maths) skills further. Practical tasks are a fantastic way to learn and develop new skills using technical and exciting equipment.. As part of the activities – children will also be developing their maths, perception, communication and teamwork skills.

The course also allows a safe and organised environment for parents/carers to spend quality time with their children and take key lessons away about working together to encourage healthier relationships.

By the end of the course, parents/carers will be able to:

· Support the child in the practical tasks programming the Ozobots.
· State a definition for coding and how it is used by Ozobots
· Follow patterns and encourage children to try exciting new combinations
· Identify further learning opportunities.
This course is delivered face to face, usually in a local school or suitable venue – please check details before enrolling.

The teacher will support and guide the learners through the session so they are able to complete the learning activities.
