The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; the creative art of cutting men’s hair, the specialist work of cutting facial hair and how to offer a good consultation service for clients.
Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety whilst working in the barbering industry. You will also develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification including cutting, clipper work and facial hair trimming .
The course is delivered face to face over two evenings per week in our specialist hair and barbering salon.
Evidence of holding a maths and English qualification will be required to enrol on this qualification, as well as successfully completing an interview.
Learning will be assessed through online test papers, assignment work and observations of practical skills.
A kit and uniform will be required for this course. These will be discussed at interview. Kit and uniform are ordered through college at a cost of approximately £370
The course could lead to a career in the barbering industry working within barbers shops, mobile or self employment.
