Course Information
This course is aimed at people who want to go into the event management industry or want to set up an event malmanagement company of their own. It can also support people who wish to simply learn how an event is set up and ran as well as evaluated. This is an excellent opportunity to gain an accredited Level 2 qualification as well as access to an award-winning online e-learning platform.

You are able to learn at your own pace yet have the support from qualified teachers.
You will learn –

The extent of the events industry and the role of an event planner

How to successfully plan an event as well as contingency planning and the need for health and safety considerations

How to review and evaluate and the importance of this aspect

How to market an event and conduct valid research

The use of human resources

Effective communication, customer service and the importance of equality and diversity as well as industry expected standards.
You will be learning online at your own pace via our awarding winning e-learning platform. You set the pace of your own learning and you will have access to our professional accredited teachers also.

You will be given access to a comprehensive online learning platform which will provide them with detailed knowledge and information to support their successful completion of each unit. 

Further self-directed research is encouraged to expand learner’s understanding of key topics. 
English and Maths to Level 2 would be beneficial due to the amount calculations and written evidence required.
Learners will also need a good level of IT skills to be able to access and navigate the learning platform and keep in contact with their personal tutor, access to a computer, laptop or tablet device with access to the internet. 
During the course our teachers will be marking and assessing your work as well as giving you positive and developmental feedback to ensure you are making the uppermost progress. You can also request to speak to one of our teachers to check your progress.

Clear deadlines will be provided for each unit to ensure the qualification is completed within the set time frame. 

Completion and progress on each unit is clearly identified on the learner’s online dashboard. 

Learners will receive regular written feedback throughout the course including opportunities for further development. 
You will be expected to complete a series of online assignments which will be set by our teachers. These will be in units to allow you to work through each one in a streamline manner.

You will be completing work in relation to each unit, which a range of activities and questioning to allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. You will complete this online using the online platform. 

The Additional Learning Support Team work across college supporting students with a variety of learning needs in different ways.  Support can be requested at enrolment or at any point throughout your course.
