Course Overview Description
This qualification has been developed to enable learners to become aware of the principles of personal well-being and some of the ways of maintaining it. It also explores the impact of positive behaviour, healthy-eating, mindfulness and meditation on mental well-being.
The range of units contained in this qualification allow you to understand the need to make connections with others, to be physically active, receive continual learning and provide generosity and support to others. This qualification could also prove an invaluable grounding for your personal and career development. The course is designed for online self-paced self-study. Although there is a maximum 12 week time line for completion, you may complete this sooner dependent on your time commitments. The resources are accessed online in Microsoft Teams, and you will have a regular fortnightly group tutorial but you can contact your tutor in between these times for support.

How Is The Course Delivered
This course is mainly online self-study with support from your tutors via email and Teams calls.
How will I know if I am making progress?
- The teacher will use a range of activities to review each learner’s knowledge throughout the course and identify any gaps and additional information required
- Learners will receive regular feedback in order to further develop their knowledge
- Learners will assess their knowledge at the start of the course and again at the end against the learning outcomes. This allows learners to identify how much they have learnt and where they might need to do further study or research.
- Learners will also be supported to set an individual target(s) for the course based on personal goals and aspirations.
Entry Requirements
In order to attend the course, learners should be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English at Entry Level 3 and above. Learners will also need a basic level of IT skills to be able to access the course and follow online instructions. If training or support is needed, please enquire about our free ICT courses.
How Learning Assessed
Learners will be using MS forms/Microsoft Teams/digital resources wherever possible to complete learning activities and answer questions relating to the course. There are both written tasks and verbal tasks involving individual and group work.
Additional Information
All Learners will need access to a computer, laptop or tablet device with access to the internet. All devices should have a camera, sound and a microphone so they are able to interact with their teacher and peers during the course.
The course will be delivered online using Microsoft Teams and learners will be sent the join details and links prior to the course. Both of these online platforms can be accessed via an app on a smart phone, tablet or iPad or alternatively via the relevant website.

We will then ask you to give us a couple of bits of information like address, mobile phone number ect and that’s it.
Once your applications has been made the next step will be for you to book yourself onto one of our interview evenings, depending on availability you might be able to do this straight away but otherwise we will get in contact to arrange when you come in for an interview.
At any point you can log back into the portal throughout the year, update information like your predicted GCSE grades, update contact and consent information and keep a live track of your application.
If you have any questions or run into any problems when using the portal please get in
contact with us and we will help
