Course Overview Description

This is a one off, non-accredited session designed to provide learners with an introduction to using social media.

Course Objectives:

Identify different social media platforms and how they are used

Create or access a social media account

Apply different account settings to protect privacy.

At the end of the course learners will be able to:
• Identify difference social media platforms and what they are used for
• Create or access a social media account
• Make a post or add a comment to an existing post
• Apply privacy settings to protect what is shared and with whom

This is a beginner level course so no prior subject knowledge is required. Learners should be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English at Entry Level 3 and above.
