With Spanish in demand across global business, tourism, translation and diplomacy, this course opens up incredible personal and professional opportunities.

Become part of a global community and stand out to future employers.
Want to take your Spanish skills up a level? A Level Spanish is all about becoming confident in speaking, listening, reading and writing while discovering the cultures, traditions, and big issues shaping Spain and Latin America today. It’s not just a language course—it’s a window into another world.

You’ll cover lots of exciting topics that feel relevant and real. From family life and equal rights to immigration, multi-culturalism and technology, you’ll explore how Hispanic societies work and the challenges they face. You’ll also dive into music, dance, film, and regional traditions, seeing how history and culture continue to shape modern communities.

As well as building your language skills, you’ll immerse yourself into Spanish films and a literary text, giving you the chance to experience creativity and storytelling in a whole new way. You’ll also complete your own research project on a topic that interests you, which means you can follow your passions while developing independent study skills.

Throughout the course, you’ll become a stronger communicator—learning how to express yourself fluently, explain your ideas clearly, and keep conversations going even when you don’t know every word. You’ll also boost your critical thinking and learn to see global issues from new perspectives.

A Level Spanish is perfect if you’re curious about languages, culture, and the wider world. It’s a brilliant step towards university and opens doors to careers in travel, business, translation, teaching, diplomacy, and much more.
